How good was that? Bryson drives the green at Whistling Straits

Heading into Sunday’s singles at the 2020 Ryder Cup, the US held a commanding 11-5 lead. Facing off in the fourth match were European stalwart Sergio Garcia and Bryson DeChambeau, then at the peak of his long-hitting powers.

Sergio teed off first and safely found the fairway on the shortish par 4. Bryson then stepped up, took a full-blooded swing and sent his ball soaring 354 yards towards the green. To the home crowd’s delight, the ball found the putting surface, leaving him with a 41-foot putt for eagle. Bryson holed the putt and went on to beat Sergio 3&2, contributing to a landslide victory for the Americans.

How good was that drive? Let's find out using Shot Quality. A Shot Quality of 0 represents the worst possible outcome, such as OOB or lost ball; 100 represents the standard expected of an average male tour player; 200 denotes statistical perfection, such as a hole in one or holing out from long distance.
