Clippd college wrapped: October 2026

Josh Coles

This is the second edition of our monthly blog where we'll be highlighting the successes of college programs using Clippd's performance platform throughout the season.

If September was the warm-up, October was when college programs using Clippd really hit their stride. Clippd teams won 57 team titles last month (in fields of three or more teams), up from 51 in September.

That's a lot of trophies, so this month we're doing things a little differently. Instead of working through the divisions, we've picked out the numbers that tell the story of October, and the teams behind them.

Let's get into it!

3 from 3: Who went perfect

Three tournaments, three wins. Missouri-St. Louis men made October look easy.

The Tritons saw a perfect October after winning the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin, the Doc Spragg Invitational and the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate by a combined 22 shots. Not bad for the #10 ranked team in the division.

On the women's side, Dallas Baptist won three of DII's biggest October fields at the 17-team LeeAnn Noble Memorial, the 16-team Midwestern State Invitational and another 16-team event in the Las Vegas Desert Classic.

Eight teams who won twice

Stanford (below)continue to be a dominant force in DI women's golf. The Cardinal opened the month by winning the 12-team Windy City Collegiate Classic. Next came the 17-team Stanford Intercollegiate, where they defended home turf comfortably by 19 shots ahead of second.

Kansas' women won the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational by a huge 23 shots, then went one better by winning the 19-team Clash at Boulder Creek, the biggest DI field won by a Clippd team all month.

Arkansas State women's also completed a stellar October with two wins in the Lady Red Wolves Classic and the Pat Bradley Invitational. The Red Wolves are currently ranked #132 but whose to say they don't find themselves in the top-100 as we move through spring later int he season.

DII had more than its fair share. Nova Southeastern's (below) men won the Hurricane Invitational and then the 12-team Citrus Intercollegiate.

In the NAIA, Rocky Mountain College's women kept rolling with wins at the Carroll College Classic and the Battle at The Dance.

Six schools winning on both sides

October was the month of the double. Six schools saw both their men's and women's programs lift a trophy.

In DI, Texas A&M's men won the Abilene Christian Intercollegiate while the Aggies' women won The Fin. College of Charleston did the same, with the men taking The Bryson Invitational and the women winning the 14-team Edisto Island Invitational. Oral Roberts joined them, as the Golden Eagles' men won The Clerico and the women won the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial. Chicago State's men and women also both won The Windy City Classic (men's leaderboard / women's leaderboard).

In DII, McKendree's women won the Bearcat Dual Gender, and the Bearcats' men followed suit at the Bill Crabtree Invitational.

And the sixth? That one deserves a section of its own.

Four titles for Friends University

The NAIA's Friends University didn't just win on both sides once. They did it twice.

The Falcons' men and women both won the Evangel Fall Invitational (men's leaderboard / women's leaderboard) in mid-October. A week later, both teams topped the stroke play qualifiers (men's leaderboard / women's leaderboard) at the KCAC Match Play events. That's four team titles in October across both programs.

Friends weren't the only NAIA women's team to win in October either. Pikeville's women won the AAC Fall Preview and Mount Mercy's women won the Columbia College Fall Invitational.

22 teams, and Oglethorpe beat them all

The bigger the field, the harder it is to win. That's what makes Oglethorpe's (above) October so impressive. The DIII Stormy Petrels' men won the West Pines Collegiate, beating 21 other teams in the biggest field won by a Clippd program all month.

One conference crown

Some titles carry a little more weight. Penn State Altoona's men won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships, and that's silverware that really counts. After winning the Northeast Elite in September, the Lions are making a habit of it.

108 and counting

Two months into the season, Clippd teams have won 108 team titles. Rocky Mountain College leads the way with six wins across their men's and women's programs, with Friends University just behind on five.

A further 12 schools have three wins each: Barry, Butler, Central Michigan, College of Charleston, Dallas Baptist, McKendree, Mount Mercy, Oral Roberts, Pikeville, Stanford, Texas A&M (above) and UNLV.

And the rest

There were plenty more winners in October. Special mention for wins by:

UNLV women's - Ron Moore Intercollegiate
Oklahoma women's - The University of Oklahoma Intercollegiate
BYU women's - Rainbow Wahine Invitational
Florida Gulf Coast men's - West Bay Collegiate Invitational
Albany women's - UAlbany Doc Sauers Invitational
UNC Greensboro women's - UNGC Collegiate
Quinnipiac women's - Quinnipiac Classic
Purdue Fort Wayne women's - Evann Parker Memorial
North Carolina Central women's - SAS HBCU Invitational
Anderson (SC) women's - Currahee D2 Elite Invitational
Simon Fraser women's - WWU Women's Invitational
Hamilton women's - Hamilton College Invitational

In individual events, Miami women's Rebekah Gardner and Indiana men's Neri Checcucci took both titles at the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational (men's leaderboard /women's leaderboard).

Looking ahead to November

With the fall season drawing to a close, November brings the last chances for teams to add to their tally before the winter break. We'll be back next month with the final round-up of the fall.

Congratulations to every player, coach and program who won in October. If your team had a result you'd like us to feature, let us know.
