LONDON - Clippd launches ClippdU - A platform giving every college golfer automatic access to performance data for their entire college career.
Clippd, the data-driven golf platform behind Scoreboard (the home of college golf) today announced the launch of ClippdU, a platform that turns hole-by-hole data already captured through Scoreboard into a personal performance record for college golfers.
Taking the hole-by-hole data already generated through Scoreboard, ClippdU provides the college golfer with a personal, easy-to-understand performance record for their entire college career to date. There is nothing additional the player needs to purchase, wear or manually enter. As soon as a player’s round is published to the Scoreboard website, it will appear in ClippdU with analytical insights for them to learn from.
ClippdU is launching first to a closed Beta group of existing Clippd subscribed college programs before quickly opening to all college golfers early in the fall semester. During this period, it will be free for all users.
“This data already exists for college golfers, many just never had access to it or didn’t have the time to gather it. ClippdU changes that. ” said Matt Wheeler, CEO of Clippd. “It’s automatic, personal and it’s available to college golfers across the divisions. A player doesn’t have to do anything different to what they’re already doing. Just play and see your college career come to life through the data”.
The launch of ClippdU is designed to run as an evolving product rather than a single, finished release. The closed Beta period will be used to gather direct feedback from players before a wider rollout with new features and capabilities coming throughout the fall semester.
“We wanted our existing customers to help shape ClippdU, not just receive it.” Matt confirmed. “The way the we’ve built ClippdU means we can move quickly and bring player feedback into the product swiftly. The experience players have today will be refined and enhanced in the coming months.
College players with an existing Scoreboard profile will download ClippdU from the respective app stores.
Once a player logs in, they will see all existing Scoreboard data in the app including previous seasons. If a player has not yet played any college tournaments, they will see data upon publication of their first tournament round.
No GPS hardware or manual data entry required.
The app will remain free for the duration of the closed and open Beta periods.
ClippdU is available to all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA golfers with active Scoreboard profiles, representing c. 20,000 college golfers across the US.
